Ankeny Autobody1 participated in the 6th Midwest Auto Body Trade Show February 5 – 6, 2016 at Prairie Meadows Conference Center in Altoona. This annual event is organized by The Iowa Collision Repair Association.
“The Iowa Collision Repair Association is committed to the future of the collision repair industry: to provide the leadership needed; raise the professional image of the individual and the industry; and develop new leaders to carry forward. Our goal is to educate, inform, and represent the Collision Repair Professional in all aspects of the industry.”
Friday night the inaugural Midwest Welcome Reception attendees networked with peers, vendors, educators and students while enjoying the silent auction Iowa I-CAR is hosting that benefited student education. The expanded educational venue for the 2016 Midwest show responded to the critical need for constant and up-to-date training. “There is no room for error anymore in the collision business, technology is driving change faster than any one person or shop can manage, “ states ICRA Vice-President, Steve Waln, “we are bringing this important information to our shops in the region.” This was the first year the Midwest Auto Body Trade Show was held on a Friday and Saturday. “This event is for the technicians”, Show Chairman Dick Merron states, “ Saturday will make it easier for them.”
